Outdoor gear retailer Cabela's has opened a new store in Rogers, MN today. The new location is Cabela's 3rd and largest store in the state of Minnesota. Other Minnesota locations are in East Grand Forks and Owatonna.
In addition to outdoor merchandise, the 185,000 square foot showroom shows off an educational and entertainment attraction that features animal displays, aquariums, and trophy animals interacting in realistic re-creations of their natural habitats. The store also offers an indoor archery range, banquet/meeting rooms, a restaurant, live bait, semi parking, rv parking, and a dump station.
The Owatonna store has been a big attraction bringing many down from the Twin Cities to shop. Now with the new and larger store on the outskirts of the Twin Cities it will be interesting to see how this affects the Owatonna store and the rivaling Gander Mountain chain of stores. Gander Mountain is headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota with 14 store locations in the state.
Store hours for the new Cabela's location in Rogers are Mon-Sat: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM and Sundays: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. •
