Rosedale has opened "The Plaza at Rosedale Center" this month and is hoping the new lifestyle center will bring in shoppers. The plaza takes the place of Mervyns and has the old fashion feel with outdoor access to new stores, sidewalks, and curbside parking ala Woodbury Lakes and Shoppes of Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove. A movie theatre will also open by Christmas. The look and feel is nice but the new stores are not unique. Borders books, Talbots, and Panera are some of the new shops for the Plaza but still just recycled from many other suburban strips. •
